Introduction
As a middle-class boy, I have always heard that the real thing that matters in life is what you write in the examination no matter how knowledgeable or fool you are at other times you need to do good in the examination at all costs.
Grabbing the context
Society has always given preference to the world of marks. It means that if you have good marks then you are a good person no matter the character. In society, it is inserted in our subconscious through the start that marks determine your character. And we are compelled to rote the facts just to get good marks no matter our interest in the subject. I don't accuse the older generation because it's not their fault they have faced the same problems (those who stopped learning) that job matters most and job requires good grades they are also taught that business is a risky game and entrepreneurs have the special ability at birth. They are not taught critical thinking and how to grab an opportunity and convert it into a million-dollar plan(maybe even of billion dollars). Students are taught the things that they can get by a simple google search which occupies their long-term memory and working memory.
People are taught many concepts without having a practical use in their life. The things that have nothing to do with practical use in a person's life(exceptions are always there) and made to rote to a student without his/her wish and the thing in which a person has no interest determines his future. The education system also isn't able to cope up with the fast change in technology too it is constant. No one teaches a student how to focus, how to remember things but everyone wants the same thing from us how can we give you the thing that we are not taught or practiced. Many people also call it a so-called 'seriousness meter' why? why do we need to be serious about the things that we are not interested in? We are not taught the concepts useful in our life like the Ikigai(a Japanese concept for finding passion) and society want's us to work on our passion how? how can we work on it without knowing the way to find it. We are not given financial knowledge which is the most important factor to be successful in the physical world As the things taught to us have no practical use nor we are interested in it then comes the third-factor pressure there is constant pressure for a student to get good marks the pressure increases day by day and when the students try to escape it they get into another trap "Addiction" and "Depression" the student wants a sudden dopamine rush to match up the cortisol released from the pressure the addiction may take any form for example games, porns, etc some students even commit suicide because they can't handle the pressure. 11.2 in every 100,000 teens die in the USA due to depression (source: Americashealthrankings). And some people who handle the pressure become the person who stops giving a F*** about others opinion and becomes introverted person.
The solution
As a student, you should constantly learn new skills useful in real life and learn from other books rather than from the curriculum only.
